Intermediate Transparent Bar Soapmaking

This method of making transparent soap requires strong ethanol (90%), or high-proof alcohol (180 proof), which has now become illegal in California. The Business and Professions Code section 23403 of California legislature makes the sale of alcohol stronger than 60% (or 120 proof) illegal. Our staff are working on finding either a reliable source of denatured alcohol for students or a modified manufacturing technique using weaker alcohol. Until these have been perfected, please register for Soapmaking 212 Intermediate Transparent Base Soapmaking.
