Black Cat Reiki in San Diego is located inside the Soapmaking Studio and offers traditional Jikiden Reiki sessions of holistic energy for wellness of body, mind, and spirit. Clients may choose to receive Reiki energy through either direct touch or distance Reiki during the session.
Life on many levels is improved when taking a holistic approach to health: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Reiki is an effective treatment technique to promote wellness, relieve pain, improve mental stability, and correct addictive or undesirable behaviors, including anger, anxiety, depression, procrastination, smoking, drinking alcohol, or using drugs.
Additional services include essential oil aromatherapy, ultrasound sonotherapy, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), solfeggio tuning forks and quartz crystal singing bowl sound bath, crystal energy work, and inversion table sessions. An additional service may be added to a Reiki session if requested by the client. Tarot cards, runes, and palm features may be read at the client's request. Client readings empowering decision-making by providing wisdom and insight. Often, readings reveal pathways to the best courses of action and the most desirable outcomes.

Although appointments should be booked by telephone during business hours (below), Reiki sessions, other complementary or alternative health care sessions, and readings are available until 8 pm. For example, a client who wishes to schedule a Wednesday evening session for 7–8 pm should call before the reception office closes at 5 pm.
Reiki is a form of complementary or alternative health care involving touch and the flow of Reiki energy through the practitioner's hands to the client. Jikiden specifies the type of Reiki practiced. Jikiden is the original, Japanese Reiki method founded by Mikao Usui sensei and requires the documentation and certification of the practitioner's instructional lineage. All Black Cat Reiki practitioners have successfully completed both Shoden and Okuden levels of training and are certified by the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan.
If "Reiki near me" does not return a certified Reiki practitioner nearby, Black Cat Reiki practitioners effectively perform distance Reiki sessions to clients around the world. During distance Reiki, the client's aura is called to the practitioner's location. When receiving distance Reiki, the client should be comfortably seated or lying down for the length of the session. Because those receiving distance Reiki may experience powerful releases of tension, pain, and emotions, clients should not schedule their distance Reiki sessions for a time when they will be working or operating machinery.
